Portfolio Single Page issue

I’ll be using your some of your standard portfolio templates, but for single portfolio pages specifically for web design,
I would like my pages to look like this (just the top part of the page).

TF Cornerstone

When I try to duplicate this look, I get this result: A bunch of space and a portfolio_detail_title, which I do not want.

The Shumsky Center

I can’t figure out (between your settings and visual composer) how to recreate this look. It doesn’t look like he’s using a child theme.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
