Is it safe to delete the demo content?

Hi Phil,
Sorry, if this is a silly question but I just want to be absolutely sure.
I created quite a few new pages. Many of these have “Elements” as parent page. Before I transfer my site to a new server I would like to delete the demo content i.e. all unnecessary pages. But what happens if I delete all demo content including this parent page? Is it safe or shoud I keep the parent page?
