Button Styling

how do I apply the button styling class to VC buttons. I cannot see to see this anywhere yet there is obvious styling hard coded into the components.
Also the buttons in the demo slides ( rev slider ) are style to match the theme yet there is no documentation showing how to do this. when I add a new button to the slide the style is not there?
