unicon child theme updates

i have unicon through a developer who i no longer work with. i have been getting malicious files on my unicon child theme. i want to restall and get future updates. because i no longer have access to developer, i purchased theme in order to get serial number and support. if i uninstall and install theme theme, will that help with malicious files?

if i uninstall child theme and reinstall, will i lose my changes?
