I have inherited a WordPress site that hasn’t been updated for a long time. The site is “broken” after updating the Unicon theme.

    **Site Details:**

    – Initial Unicon Theme Version: 2.3.3
    – WordPress Version: 4.9.25
    – Hosting: OVH

**Problem Encountered:** After updating the Unicon theme, the shortcodes used on my site are no longer functioning correctly. Instead of displaying the expected content, the shortcodes appear as plain text on all pages of the site.

    **Actions Taken:**

    1. I updated WordPress to version 6.5.4.
    2. I updated the Unicon theme to version 2.9.2.
    3. I deactivated all plugins to check if any plugin was causing the problem.

**Results:** Despite these actions, the issue persists. The shortcodes are still not interpreted correctly by the theme.

**Expectations:** I am seeking your assistance to resolve this shortcode compatibility issue. Could you please inform me if there have been any changes to the handling of shortcodes between versions 2.3.3 and 2.9.2 of the Unicon theme?

It appears that version 2.6 might be significant. Could I obtain this version to test an intermediate update?

If not, could you provide guidance on the adjustments needed to make the shortcodes function correctly?

I can also provide access to a staging environment.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. I am available for any further information you may need.
