Removing page title text and hyperlink from header

I’ve tried “header only” but the text remains in place. Is there another place to change this setting?

For example, I can remove the text in WordPress General settings, but it eliminates the page title entirely. Can I keep the page title say, in the browser tab, but not displayed on the page?
