"open in new window" not working

On our posts and pages, we have many links set to open in a new window. They used to do this, however, now the site is not actually opening links in a new window (it is opening them in the same window). Is this a known glitch with the theme? I looked at the code on the posts, and the link is coded correctly to open in a new window.
