In blog: change date display to 'day month year' instead of 'month day year'

I’d like to show the date with my blog posts, but by default, they display as in the ‘month day year’- format (e.g. May 10, 2016). But I would like to display the dates in a ‘day month year’-format (e.g. 10 May, 2016). How can I do this?
