Add custom content to twitter shares – "via @username"

I would like to add some custom content to the end of the twitter social shares for example. So instead of just tweeting out the blog posts title and url, it would also include “Via @twitter_username”.

And an add-on question – is there a way to add text before the share icons, such as “Share this – [icons]”?
